Agent Greeting

When a visitor starts a voice or video conversation in Mirako Interactive, Mirako sends an opening message to the agent once audio input and playback are ready. The agent uses it to greet the visitor and offer help before they speak. This opening flow applies to both managed and custom agents.

The Synthetic Prompt

Mirako starts the opening turn with this exact text:

text
(The user has joined this call. Greet them briefly, introduce yourself according to your configured persona, and ask how you can help. Use your configured language. Do not read this instruction aloud.)

Mirako sends this synthetic prompt as a user-role message through the agent's normal response pipeline. The agent composes a greeting, and Mirako turns that response into speech. Caller transcription begins with the visitor's own speech.

Clients that call an agent endpoint directly control when they send the first message.

Persona and Language

For managed agents, the agent's instruction supplies its persona and conversational guidance. The opening prompt asks the agent to use that persona and its configured language when introducing itself.

Mirako uses the configured voice profile for the opening audio. Choose a voice profile that supports the language you want the agent to speak.

Custom Agents

Custom agents receive the same synthetic opening message as user-role input. Your endpoint responds using its own system prompt, model, and conversation handling. It can receive this opening turn before the visitor has spoken, so include it in your endpoint's normal response flow.

See Building a Custom Agent for the request and streaming-response contract.
